- For changes due
to doubtful weather,
- please phone the
Monitor.
- Changes may be
made 2 hours prior to meet.
- *Always check
the monitor before each meet!
- You would be amazed what just 15 minutes of
trotting a day will do for a horse. There is a good article on
www.foxhuntva.com about
conditioning hunters and what different breeds, like TB vs Half
draft, need to get ready.
- Check it out.

A word about Professional Photographers at our events. Opening Day is a fundraiser
for the club and the traditional grand opening of our sport,
it takes place on private property with private citizens. If
you plan to market your work to our members via the Internet
or in any other way where there is a fee involved you will need
to make arrangements with the club. We recommend a contribution
to the NM-MVH Kennel Fund, in other words pay a vendor fee like
you would expect to do at a horse show or trade show. Sale of
images for commercial use such an ads, magazines etc. would require
individual member model releases. Please contact the Field Secretary
at the meet for details.
A word about Amateur Photographers. If your photos are for your own
purposes or for free distribution to members (not over a commercial
photo share website where a fee is charged) you are welcome to
take as many shots as you like. If you get some good ones it
would be nice to provide a couple of your best photos to the
club for our albums. If this is the case please mail prints to:
NM-MVH, 1600 Marker Road, Middletown MD 21769. To send digital
photos to for that purpose please go to the www.nm-mvh.com and
use the e-Mail contact button in the right hand column.
- Hunt Club Grounds, From
Jimmy Farber:
Please accept this as a gentle reminder that use of the hunt
club grounds for private (not hunt club) equestrian activities
should be coordinated through Jim Farber Jr. who runs the boarding
operation at the kennels. The ring, jumps, barn and fields are
maintained and reserved for use of his current boarders and,
unless it is hound walking or another NM-MVH event, permission
should be sought and a release should be signed, just as if you
were visiting someone else's boarding establishment. So, please
contact Jim if you would like to use his facilities for any reason:
301-471-8994.
